Professional career
- Judge Burton, her husband, and two boys have made Gainesville their home.
- Judge Burton has been married to her husband Bonner, for more than nineteen years.
- Judge Burton received her undergraduate degree from Penn State University and received her Juris Doctorate from Villanova University Law School.
- During her thirteen years within the District Attorney’s Office, Judge Burton tried more than one hundred ten jury trials.
- Prior to joining the bench, Judge Burton worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the Northeastern Judicial Circuit’s District Attorney’s Office for thirteen years, earning the title of Chief Assistant District Attorney for the Circuit.
- As a Superior Court Judge, she will preside over PAC Court and a portion of REACT Court in addition to presiding over criminal, civil, and domestic matters in Hall and Dawson counties.
- As a Juvenile Court Judge, she represented the circuit at the Court Improvement Initiative Conferences and served on the executive committee for the Council of Juvenile Court Judges.
- She was previously appointed as Juvenile Court Judge for the Northeastern Judicial Circuit (Hall and Dawson County) in October of 2013 and was appointed Chief Judge in January of 2015.
- Judge Burton was elected to the Superior Court bench in 2022 and took office on January 1, 2023.

Recording Devices And Courtroom Access
For Georgia Superior Court proceedings, statewide Rule 22 governs recording devices and courtroom recording; counsel should confirm judge approval and courtroom conditions before using recording, photographic, or comparable electronic presentation equipment.
