Professional career
- Judge Watkins also served on the Council of Superior Court Judges Legislation Committee, Bench and Bar Committee, and Mandatory Continuing Judicial Education Committee.
- Judge Watkins left the practice of law on July 10, 2019, when Governor Kemp appointed and swore him in as a Superior Court Judge for the Cherokee Judicial Circuit, which includes all of Bartow and Gordon Counties.
- Judge Watkins left Moore-Ingram as a senior associate in 1997 and moved back home to Cartersville where he was the founding shareholder of Jeffrey A.
- Following law school, Judge Watkins began his career in private practice with Moore, Ingram, Johnson & Steele in Marietta, Georgia, where he practiced in the areas of civil and commercial litigation and workers compensation defense.
- Watkins was appointed and sworn in by Governor Brian Kemp as the 95th judge of the Court of Appeals of Georgia on July 11, 2023, and was elected state-wide in 2024.
