Biography
Professional career
- In 2000, he joined the Utah Attorney General's Office and worked as an Assistant Attorney General in the Litigation Division.
- Upon graduating from law school, Judge Lawrence relocated to Utah and worked for 12 years at the law firm of Jones, Waldo, Holbrook & McDonough, where he had a commercial litigation practice and served on the firm's board of directors.

Portable Electronic Devices
Utah permits possession and use of portable electronic devices in courthouses unless limited by UCJA Rule 4-401.02 or by directive of the judge.

Recording Photography Transmission
Utah prohibits recording, photographing, or transmitting images or sound of court proceedings with portable electronic devices unless allowed under the electronic-media rule or another stated exception.
